EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CMP
BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK…

Industry suppliers pursuing their CMP have a stronger edge in the market as they understand both sides of the planning process, and can use this knowledge to better assist their meeting planners.

The CMP is the one of the most recognized designations in the meetings industry. This provides the foundation for best practices in meeting planning, and sets a strong foundation for both planners and suppliers to work. The program was designed in 1985 with its primary goals to enhance the knowledge and performance of meeting professionals, promote the credibility of the meeting profession, and create a more uniform standard of practice for all to follow.

Session Take Away’s

1.)     Understand why earning a CMP provides Meeting Professionals with an edge by understanding both sides of the planning process.
2.)     Acquaint yourself with the uniform standard of practice that promotes excellence.
3.)     Use knowledge gained from being a CMP to assist meeting planners in the success of their programs.

If you’ve been curious about the CMP exam or wondered if it is right for you, this is a great session to learn more.  We will discuss the value of the designation, what the application process entails, how the exam is created, and why it is important for our industry to support this designation.

This will be an interactive session, so please bring questions and conversations.
